Mozart's House in Salzburg was built in the 17th century and became the Mozart family's residence in 1773. Here, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived with his family for almost 15 years, during which he composed numerous important works. After his father Leopold's death in 1787, Mozart moved to Vienna. During World War II, the building was severely damaged by bombings. In 1955, the Mozarteum Foundation acquired the property and restored it, transforming it into a museum. Opened to the public in 1996, the museum was later modernized and expanded in 2006 to offer visitors a more interactive and comprehensive experience.
