Access

The most convenient access is through Osaka-Abenobashi station on the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka line or through Tennoji station on the JR lines and Osaka subway. The building is directly connected to these stations. For those coming by car, parking is available in the building, but advance reservation is recommended.

Good To Know

Visiting hours are between 9:00 and 22:00, with last entry at 21:30. Visiting at sunset is recommended for a spectacular view. There are restrictions on large luggage and dangerous objects. On clear days, you can see as far as Kobe and Kyoto. There is a Japanese restaurant on the 58th floor. To avoid crowds, visiting during weekdays is recommended.

History

The construction of Abeno Harukas began in January 2010 and was completed in March 2014. The project was developed by Kintetsu Corporation, with the aim of revitalizing the Abeno area and creating a new urban landmark for Osaka. The name "Harukas" comes from old Japanese and means "to brighten" or "to clarify", symbolizing the project's vision of bringing clarity and brightness to the city's future. The building was designed by the Takenaka Corporation architecture firm, incorporating the most advanced anti-seismic and energy efficiency technologies. At the time of its inauguration, Abeno Harukas surpassed Landmark Tower in Yokohama, becoming the tallest building in Japan, a title it still holds today.
